During this difficult time, Sun life Financial has announced that they are now offering virtual health care services for their group benefits clients. They have partnered with a company called Dialogue Technologies Inc., so that clients in need of enhanced medical support would be able to access the virtual clinic and connect directly with a health care professional while social distancing.
The service being offered free of charge is called 'Lumino Health Virtual care' and can easily be accessed online or through a mobile app. Once a user is connected, the service will triage the client and then connect them to a nurse, care manager, or physician. They will assess acute physical and/or mental health and will take assessments, review all symptoms, create personal care plans, write referrals, and write prescriptions if necessary.
